Make Waves 757 is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to bringing positive social change to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Their mission is to empower individuals and communities to take action on the issues that matter most to them, from education and housing to healthcare and the environment. By mobilizing resources and fostering partnerships, they work to create sustainable solutions to the challenges facing the Hmapton Roads community.
Make Waves 757 hosts an annual music festival that brings together community members from across Hampton Roads for a day of live music, food, and fun. The festival is a celebration of the organization’s mission to create positive social change and empower individuals to make a difference in their community. The event features a diverse lineup of local and regional musicians, as well as food vendors and activities for all ages.

Acting as a startup organization, 757 Make Waves required a branding system and marketing collateral to represent the area and issues it brings attention to.
A logo, identity, and subsequent branding materials were created. These designs were then incorperated throughout a series of posters and social media content. With the promotional aspects of the campaign, packaging for event staff badges and RFID bracelets were rendered and added to the list of deliverables made for the social-issue awareness organization.
An application was designed and prototyped using Figma and allows attendees/users to learn about the festival, reach out to other local organizations, and sign up for seminars that emphasize local issues
